Our mission is to provide high quality psychotherapy and substance use disorder treatment to all that come to us for help; inspiring them to draw from their internal energy to be healthy, happy, productive and caring.
AHS logo defined
“ Our logo is symbolic in that it is motivating as it is rich in meaning. It also suggests that our founder did not just open up rehab clinic because he has the education and credentials. He has a well- defined purpose to make a difference in society.
Olive Branch: Olive branch is commonly known to symbolize peace, life, and love. It makes more meaning when it bears fruit with all the nutritional values. The logo is our gentle way of inspiring our clients and counselors to realize that so long as one is alive there is hope. Despite challenging mental or physical health condition, a patient is lovable. We are here to assist them to be healthy, happy, productive and caring. All of us need to lead life with the understanding that “it is not over until it is over” and it is not over until an individual is 6ft under the ground.
The olive branch pointing east ward symbolizes wisdom seeking. With wisdom an individual can apply human intelligence and skills to everyday experiences to overcome obstacles. The olive branch with fruits implies that the client is alive and can be valuable-productive. Being productive could only be taking care of personal chores and when possible help others. The green color goes to support our concept of healthy environment; encouraging opportunities for the wounded to heal mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Addictions and Compulsions
Compulsive behavior is not limited to substance abuse. Chronic gambling, sexual addictions, internet addiction, and a myriad of other, less widely known habitual behaviors are more common than one might suspect. A compulsion is any behavior a person wishes not to carry out, but is unable to stop due to feelings of great anxiety and distress, which arise when the person abstains from the compulsive behavior.

Depression—a sad or discontented mood—can leave a person feeling lethargic, unmotivated, or hopeless, and in some cases, depression can lead to suicidal ideation. Depression may occur in a severe form, as in major depressive disorder, or in a more chronic, mild-to-moderate form, as is the case with persistent depressive disorder.
Our family is ideally the group of people to whom we are closest, with whom we are most comfortable, for whom we have the greatest love and deepest concern. Ideally, we know we can always count on our family, share our thoughts and feelings, turn to them for support, and count on them to help us when we’re down and out. Often issues arise in families that deserve professional help for it to be adequately resolved, that is where the services of a licensed counselor come in.
